Containers for the Emotions
A series of 20 or more tiny wire baskets made over an extended period of visits and converations with my aged father.
Sometimes open, sometimes choked off, sometimes protective, sometimes threatening. Sometimes garrulous and frivolous, sometimes quiet. and introspective.
The tiny baskets were made with love. They reperesent the many fragile and sometimes difficult emotional states that come with the passing of a generation, memories of childhod, and the realisations of adulthood.
They are small enough to fit easily in your hand, soft and malleable enough to crush.
Treat them with care.
